Courses are designed for advanced photographers who want learn the techniques to produce true, professional-level photography and expect to be paid a professional fee of $250 for a portrait sitting without any prints.
Most of the courses are condensed versions of courses which I created for Sheridan and Mohawk Colleges. These were certified ‘Credit Courses’.
There is endless dialogue about photography and what makes a good photograph -- and precious little about what makes a good photographer. Think about this for a moment. We know a lot about the photographers, but not what made them great.
What made them special was how they see the light. So, once the technical aspects have become truly second nature, only then can the photographer begin to see light and form. This is why ‘they’ see, and photograph what others don’t.
The courses are disiplined, goal-oriented and supported with ample printed material. You will have my personal attention and coaching, not just in the studio, but by email or over a cup of coffee, whatever best suits your needs.
My intention is that a photographer will be able to offer their services in the commercial market and not need to spend a ton of money for expensive and unnecessary lighting gear. A complete lighting setup, as used by the photographer, can be purchased at Henry’s for under $1,000.
